These terms apply when you use GainBrain, a strength-training log run by Levi Houghton ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: support@gainbrain.app.
The service
GainBrain is free. It is built and run by one person and may change, gain or lose features, or one day stop. If it is going to shut down, you will be told in advance and given a way to take a copy of your data.
Your account
Use an email address you control and keep your password to yourself. One account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your data is yours
You own the training data you enter. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete it at any time by deleting your account.
Fair use
Don't try to break, overload or get around the app's security, access anyone else's data, create accounts automatically, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Training is at your own risk
GainBrain records your training and shows trends calculated from it. It is not medical, nutritional or coaching advice, and its figures (such as estimated maximums and suggested volumes) are estimates. Check with a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury or a health condition, and stop if something hurts.
No guarantees
The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law says cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and significant changes will be announced in the app or by email first. Continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them; if you don't, you can delete your account.
